The history of Utena kindergarten "Voveraitė"

           Our school was founded in 1966. It is one of the oldest pre-school establishments in Utena.

           The school is in the Old Town. Near the school there are parks, a lake and several rivers. The school enables learners to visit historical, cultural, natural places, entertainment venues in the city and beyond.

           At present, there are 7 groups in the school with 130 children. The school is open to children from 1 year to 6 years old.

           Children of all ages are educated in separate groups. They are trained by pre-primary educators, pre-school educators, art education teacher, speech therapist and school psychologist.

           Education is carried out in accordance with the General Pre-Primary Education and Pre-School Education Programs. Education takes place in different spaces of groups and beyond the school (in nature, on trips, in non-traditional environments). Education is comprehensive, the various pupils' skills are developed. The goal is that through the experience children would develop the foundations for self-sufficiency, healthy lifestyle, positive communication with adults and children, creativity, the knowledge of the environment, native country and other countries, and learning to learn.

           Additional activities at the school include arts, dance, English classes and football lessons.
